Moonlit Heat Poem by Cheryl Butler

Moonlit Heat

Half a Moon Night
Lit our night sky
We have each other in sight
I don't care if Your married

She's cheating too, tonight
She's been doing wrong to you forever
You need to get clever
or hip, to her ish!

The flares from the Moonlight
The Sulfur and Steam
Streams of sweat bead up like
boiling water

Perspiration
cascades from
My forehead to my neck
Then breasts

We are dancing to Calvin Harris
'Blame it on the night'
He got that right

You are gazing in approval
At something you can have
We're right for each other

It is so hot in this club
We should go outside

In the heat of coolness
We collide

We are panting hot vapors on
This
cold night
all around

As, I draw in closer for your kiss
you and I can hear our heart sound
Pound by Pound by pound by pound

I've missed that sound
The Moon beams its heat
On us exposing us
Exposing our lust
But I trust
You love me

I trust you love us
Being together
The heat from this moonlit sky
Has left us both soaking wet
