Moon Phases Poem by C. P. Sharma

Moon Phases

Moon Phases

It was in Alaska*,

Annigan** and Malina** *picked upquarrel
Brother chased sister for revenge
For fifteen days he couldn't avenge
Waxing and waning everyday slimmer
At last he lost all his glimmer
Secretly, he fed himself to resume
Caught his sister, in fortnight
full moon
Since then moon to its phases tuned

*Mythology of inuit of Arctic region

**Moon god

***Sun god
