Monster? Poem by amanda awan

Monster?

My closet door creaked open to show what it hides,
could there be a monster hiding inside?
Maybe its scary maybe its not,
but it really scares me a lot.

Imagine it dancing while you sleep,
and back to your closet when you alarm clock beeps.
Imagine its big, red horns,
slashing your clothes like thorns.

Imagine its giant feet,
big enough to cover the street.
Imagine its tangled fur,
too thick to be mixed and stirred.

Imagine its evil eyes,
full of revenge and lies,
so before I go to sleep at night,
I can't forget to turn on my nightlight.
