compass bearings

charted
upon self set course
chosen

by a moment
those significant
moments


moments
mere fleetings
moments

moments
seeded upon cast wind
of our own actions

actions
which we shall be
accountable for

for for
the duration of
our lives


upon great
moments chosen
conscience

wisely are
our characters
our reputations

won
upon
smallness

smallness
of a single
solitary act


can a single
act ungoverned
our characters

reputations
can be
lost forever
