Mom Poem by Elisa Davila

Mom

It has been two years since your death.
On April 13,2015, at 3 a.m. you left.
I often ask myself, what life is this?
Without you my life has no bliss.

You were my best friend.
But that friendship, on this earth, has come to a physical end.
Your life was a treasure in my eyes.
A memory that will never die.

I'm staring at you from afar.
Wondering, what you could've been and what you are.
You didn't have to go like that.
I'd give anything to have you back.

My love for you never dies, and you forever own my heart.
But for now, I must say "Te quiero mucho."
Till we meet again.

Such a sad thing to go through at such a young age. If there was anything I could offer you, it would be my poem Death Bed. Try not to be put off by the title.
