Modern Savior Poem by Ananda Alves

Modern Savior

Rating: 4.9

Patched lips
Locked fears
Delusional breath

Swallowed tears
Refrained pain
Unspoken lines

Eyes cold as ice
Fighting for air
Searching for light

He's so unsteady
As quite as fragile

Punched the walls
Fists are clenched
Wrists are sore

It's self destruction
For some's redemption
And others' salvation

Would you like him to save you?
Tell us, would you let him save you now?

I think, most of the time, we all need saving!

Ananda, this is a powerful write about a person who needs saving from his own self destruction. Top marks from me. Thanks for sharing it my friend. David
