Wonderful poem. Bitter truth on our current situation told in very few lines... Fantastic lines... Leader is The Lord today Peoples are its servants.. Loved the way you presented it and perfect title.

Unfortunately the common man is fooled by the same fellow who is elected into power by his own hands! Once in power, he begins to dictate others! This is the sad state of democracy! A relevant write!

Excellent question, Amitava. Where are the elected leaders? They are all corrupt and hiding behind their lies. God has always led the people, but not as servants specifically, because we all have our own free will. While reading the poem I likes to object the content in such a spirit of respecting democracy and election of the nations where leaders are selected by the concerned forums. In every disciplined society and for governance leader is essential who have the capacities to lead the people and country in best of administrative talents and secure the confidence of the people. No place of servants can be construed upon the people since the so called people are the real decision makers and they can change the leader in next election. Partially the argument is correct where the leader behaves in such supremacy. A socially relevant and important poem.
