Missing You Poem by Nancy Butterworth

Missing You

Today I thought about you love
As much as I could bare
Your gentle fragrance teased my heart
And softly settled there

I sent you butterfly kisses
Recalled your loving gaze
The kettle's whistle startled me
Released me from my haze

Too late! My eyes betrayed me
The tears rolled down my face
I promised you that I'd be strong
But that's just not the case

But when we next communicate
I'll tell you that I'm fine
So you can do what you must do
Be safe sweet love of mine
