Missing Colours Poem by Rajita Kurup

Missing Colours

Just when the day broke illuminating the sky
I looked for the flocks to fly up high

Dawn passed spreading some dew
That is when I saw birds a few

A rainbow cut across the hues
And splashes of colours covered the blues

Bees and wasps still are missing
Is it that nectars are drying

Reminding those vast petalous spreads
Greens, pinks, yellows, whites and reds

That is now a distant past
Future is fast, destruction is vast

Would it be a difficult task
Recreating the splendid floral mask
