Miss You Loads
Life stands still
When you’re not here.
How I wish time would speed up
Iike in old movies
Pages flying off the calendar,
Hands tearing around the clock faces,
Making it time to see you again.
Till then, I survive on little trace of you
Your scent on my photos,
Your breath warm and close
In my dreams.
I pass the time
Tracing your name with my finger
And thinking up
Just the right things to say
To make you laugh.
I look up at the stars
And picture you looking up
At the same sky too.
It’s feeling like no other,
This bittersweet longing
For everything about you
And when we’re finally together.
I wont miss another chance
To be close as a heartbeat
To you
