Mispleasure Poem by Chaotic Life aka Curly Mer

Mispleasure

Me, you, us
laying heart to heart on the fluffy
blanket you brought from home
contemplating the stars in the dome of night
after our long conversation about the idiocracy of people.
Your left arm had snuggled me into your body
with an unbreakable embrace
that I felt your heart beat through
your muscular chest.
I traced my fingers lightly over the ink
that spells BLESSED across your naked chest
and I felt your heart beat faster and faster
with each brush.
I looked up to your face, and there it was ~
that smile. That freaking smile. So full of love
and passion, my body could not help but mock it too.
My frozen heart started to melt and beat
in harmony with your racing one. So quick
it happened, I didn’t even get a chance to breathe.

I ended up on top of you then
sucking the love and passion out of your lips
until I extracted every drop to make my heart whole.
And you fell for it. Your pores opened as heat rushed
out of your system and shoved my cold skin into yours,
attempting to close every gap until the two bodies
became one in equilibrium.
That’s why when you reached under me and pealed off
my black tank, I did not rebel. And why when your hand cupped
my bare breast while the other hand arched my waist onto you,
I did not rebel. But
you did. You paused at the very moment
when your hormones was overpowering your conscience
because you understood what that meant and I did not.
“We can’t do this, ” you whispered with cravings on your breath
“We promised…” And right there – right there –
the love and passion flew out of me
and I dropped down hard into
that same cold spot under your embrace.

You did not understand why I started crying
and why, after you mistakenly apologized
and assured you loved me, I got up and ran
down the hill, past the trees, over the rocks, jumped
in the middle of the freezing Atlantic ocean and laid flat
on my back staring at the half moon we did not notice earlier.

You were there
but me and us
never were.
