Mirror! Mirror! (Song) Poem by Alyssa Diane

Mirror! Mirror! (Song)

Mirrors
Alyssa Jenkins
“Acoustic.”

[Verse 1: ]

Mirror, mirror on the wall, who’s the fairest of them all, momma lied to me again, she said you were my best friend, apples sliding down my throat, cutting deeper as it goes, leaving a blood red moat, leaving me restless.

[Chorus: ]

Mirrors lie to me all the time, mirrors make me wanna die, I just need to open my eyes, mirrors show me the way, but I lose may lose my way, I am losing my sanity, losing my sanity. Losing my sanity. From these mirrors.

[Verse 2: ]

Mirror, mirror on the wall, I guess I’m about to fall, blood rushing out of my head, mirror, mirror, I guess this means I’m dead, I guess this means I won’t see anything.

[Chorus: ]

Mirrors lie to me all the time, mirrors make me wanna die, I just need to, open my eyes, mirrors show me the way, but I lose may lose my way, I am losing my sanity, losing my sanity. Losing my sanity. From these mirrors.

[Bridge: ]

Lost in this big shiny light, bringing truth to all my life, this is how it was meant to be, close your eyes and you may see,

[Chorus: ]

Mirrors lie to me all the time, mirrors make me wanna die, I just need to, open my eyes, mirrors show me the way, but I lose may lost my way, I am losing my sanity, losing my sanity. Losing my sanity. From these mirrors. Mirrors lie to me all the time, mirrors make me wanna die, I just need to, open my eyes, mirrors show me the way, but I lose may lose my way, I am losing my sanity, losing my sanity. Losing my sanity. From these mirrors.

Mirrors. Lie. Oh. Mirrors. Mirrors. Mirrors. Mirrors
Oh.
Close your. Close your. Close your. Close your eyes
Mirrors. Mirrors. Oh. Mirrors lie mirrors lie. Oh mirrors. Mirrors oh mirrors lie.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I wrote this song when I was staring in my mirror and I thought I was so innocent and I grabbed my laptop and just began typing like madness until I finished the song.
