Mirror Poem by Anand Brown

Mirror

I drag my body to appear before your revealing throne,
With down turned eyes.
I scrape together what is left of my courage to
Face the truth and it is too much to bear.

I conjure up false hope to bath my soul with,
If only for a moment.
Yet I am barren inside and a glimmer of hope is
Like a drizzle in the desert.

This is my earthly attire and it embodies shame
And I sigh at the thought of a long life.
Genie grant me just one wish.
Fill me up!
Reflect a black lie for me dear mirror,
A picture of beauty I beg,
I plead!

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

I think that there is some satire type meaning hidden in the poem to tell the world and it felt very awesome.

nice but i think you can go deeper, reveal more to the audience what you are sying expand in the dramaticness (if thats even a word) of the situation. Dont hold yourself back.
