Milton & Phyllis Bradford Poem by Luke Easter

Milton & Phyllis Bradford

19 years of preaching bliss,
This is the story of Milton & Phyllis,
19 years did I say?
The Holy Sprit made it that way.

A Pastor sent from Heaven,
To a church on earth,
In the name of Jesus,
For all that it's worth.

Phyllis might wonder, I don't know how,
Turn it over stupid, it's an Owl,
Working on a piece crochet,
Her hubby took it the wrong way.

Thank goodness that's not Milton's,
Only claim to fame,
Of course we all know,
Neither is his racquetball game.

Yes he will preach the gospel,
You'll delight in every single word,
Was it the adjective or maybe the verb?
In the sermon that you just heard.

How did he make it all stand out?
With barely a whisper or maybe a shout,
With Phyllis watching as a pillar of strength,
Pastor will always go to great lengths.

To be sure we all understand why,
Jesus Christ sacrificed His life,
A smile from Phyllis his wife and good friend,
Let's Milton know he did a good job again.

Kenny & Amber make the Bradford's complete,
A family portfolio packaged tidy and neat,
As we all sincerely tie the bow with a rope,
God bless you always with loving Good Hope!
