Minister Kenya Banks 10/28/2010 Cleveland, Ohio

Welcome to this event, the joy and celebration, @ being Ordained,
For our dearest Sister, Minister Kenya Banks, in Jesus’ Holy Name,
Although some had doubted and disbelieved, she would persevere,
God, “gave her a spirit of power, love & a sound mind, not of fear.”

Sunday at church I can still visualize Kenya leading the praise team,
If men had the assignment, she was front row with her tambourine,
Always with an encouraging smile, followed by the highest praise,
Well-deserved honor is being presented to Kenya this special day.

Circumstances beyond my control prevent my being able to attend,
A poem is only a fraction of the pride in deepest humbleness I send,
I know your, “Labor of Love” in reality was such a hard fought fight,
And that the, “evil one” did everything he could to postpone tonight.

However, disciples like this minister are on a kingdom assigned mission,
Although that lying devil might delay he could never abort this decision,
I do not use the word Christian because this appointment is by command,
Kenya’s always done, “exceedingly, abundantly, above, all that she can.”

John 14: 12, “if you believe in Me greater works than these shall you do, ”
Imagine that Kenya actually has the nerve to take Jesus at His word too,
Not only that, how many are aware on occasion she can Blue Jay a tune,
I recall Sister holding a mic in the choir and her, Blind Bartimaeus croon.

In your faith walk remember you will be attacked but you’re never alone,
Due to the diligent righteousness of constantly seeking out His Throne,
City of God the residence now or wherever you may consider your home,
A legion of heavens sharpest angels march around you so let it be known.

Surely I am not the only one having much to say about this glorious night,
Very reluctantly I shall bring to a close this congratulatory absentee write,
Sister Banks realize my not being there does not mean I do not take part,
Since, Joyce, SharI & I are always with you from the bottom of our heart.
