Metamorphasis Poem by Heather Devlin

Metamorphasis

Nauseating, thrill taking, still breaking
Growing up and getting tough
She says whats on her mind now
That she's left her past behind her
Shaking, hoping, laughing, faking
It all goes away with the green
Good friends and good times
Long nights and lost rhymes
She's yours and you're mine
The spyder is crawling up the vine
Forgive and forget
Relive and regret
The people upstairs say the little girl's theirs
And nobody gets to see her
So just follow the white powder road
Kiss the prince and turn into a toad
I'm broken, on repeat
Get up! Get off your feet
I'm not waiting all day for a show!
