Mental Instability Poem by Last Wish

Mental Instability

Home is a place of safety so dictates social morality
But what if imagination is the only hope against a bitter reality
So afraid to leave and go
Though staying is a terror all it's own
Trying to find the words to hide behind
When the monster hides inside
And the reality is much more terrifying
Staring out the window the snowflakes fall
The death behind the white purity I hear them scream and call
Like watching a million halos slowly descend
shadows and warped distortions that cover my wall
Spiteful shades I all but befriend
Like seeing your hope melt away
Your dreams erode to the sand from which it came
Wishing on a flying ball of light we were taught to trust
Though shooting stars are nothing more than ice and dust
