Men Vs Snakes Poem by miesha devres

Men Vs Snakes

Little recognition is given to men who step up to the plate
Men who see their responsibility
Men who rise to the occasion with the grace and poise of a king
They are out there
Dwindling in numbers
Hidden by the obnoxious snakes who claim to be men
Yet they can hardly provide for themselves, let alone anyone else
I have been blessed to have been surrounded with men my whole life
A loving father who is always there for when I need him
A mature brother who keeps it real so I don’t end up with just any guy
Another sensible brother who has never let his 6 children want for anything
Three strong, accountable, handsome men who help to keep me on track
Though men like this are few and far between,
Faith must be placed in the idea that they exist somewhere
The three men in my life are testament to that fact
