Only for a moment
When I'm starring in your eyes
I know I'm safe and happy
But when your back is at my shoulder
Whispers and little cries
Reach deep inside my soul
It's my weeping in disguise

It's when you're here that you're here
And gone when your away
You think you've got me fooled
But I'm smarter than you may
Think I'm looking up
Well I'm really looking down
Love when it's true, another day

I make note of each subtlety
Memorize your tune
But if you keep watch on me
I listen best if you're in the room
So travel the distance
Mark my words for treasures sake
A good mans heart will follow soon
