Memories To Sell Poem by Medea Kali

Memories To Sell

What is felt by the heart can rarely be expressed with words
We've been through all that. I thought you knew me by now
We have stopped being lovers for four years now
We have not spoken to each other since then
I cant remember your land line number
Sure is funny how I used to dial it four times a day
Terribly agonizing that i cant seem to recall it now

Curse of the new modern age...cell phones, Internet
There are 100 ways to reach you, but do you want me to?
Why cant you after all that we have been through...
You said that you will never let me fall apart
I sure remember and He remembers that
You said that we will get married and bring babies into this ugly world
Joke is on me, I certainly figured that

You took her for sushi and wine...
I keep having dreams of you and her.. you and her
What are you saying to her right now
Do you tell her new things now
I thought i was your queen
Joke is on me...
