Memories Poem by Tony Adah

Memories

Memories bloom like lilies
And die and die and bloom again
They are like being
Given a bone to chew
You will never forget

Memories flow like a river
Flowing in my head
This is where I swim and bath
And bath and swim
Memories are like a crown
The king never wants
To let it down.

Memories of unforgetable
Toddling walks
Of falling and rising
And rising and falling
Oh, unforgetable memories
Of life and death
Truth and falsehood
Here I submit
To your sublime reality.
