Memories Poem by Alice Silvers

Memories

As you stare up at me with
Your cold, dead eyes I try to
Remember what you were like,
Full of life.

I strain to remember as I take
Many tissues to try and dry my
Tears but as I try they just keep
Pouring as I try and fight them.

As we leave I pray to God that
He now takes care of you because
Now we can`t. We try and cope,
It seems impossible.

Even though your wish causes
Us much grief we all know that
You always wanted to pass on
And we can only hope that now
That you have your wish that you
Are happy.

As you pass on I hope that you
Remember you left us with infinite
Great memories that are unique
And can never be replaced. Our
Bonds with you were irreplacable.

I will never forget.
