Melody Poem by john mylius

Melody

Song for the day,
sung for the Melody.
So far away,
sung by a man like me.

Night after night,
wait for the day,
To bring you next to me,
And let me hear you say

'Can't you stay a little longer? '
There isn't that much time.
The nighttime's achin' with the hunger
I'm goin' out of my mind

Send me a Melody
I need a Melody
to keep me right
Sing me a Melody
A Melody to keep me movin',
I'm movin'

Song for the day
sung for the Melody
