Me And You Poem by Drew Engman

Me And You

Rating: 5.0

Me And You

The mirror doesn't lie but the mind fools the eye;
Misperception erases the details and places,
And old guys don't like their own red eyes and wrinkles,
Even when they understand how these years come and go.

She has her secrets and keeps it anonymous
Earning your confidence and making you feel proud of it
Humbled, honored to be asked my opinions and listened to
Just to hear and to share and be there me and you

I hope what we did helps you deepen the story
Redeeming the time and the travel and history
And lets you solve more of the mystery
Documenting experiences and memory

In the end I pray it makes sense
My times barely represent anything new or meaningful
And who knows what between life or death makes you you?
Someone would have told us if anyone ever knew.

So I suggest we strike out off our own
Down a new road that brings us together
In peace, joy, and mostly, in love
And let everything heal and get better.

Just to hear and to share and be there, me and you
In peace, joy, and mostly, in love
Who knows what, between life and death, makes you you?
Red eyes and wrinkles, and our life here, us two
That peace, joy, and love made us, too.
