Maybe, One Day Poem by Haley Brown

Maybe, One Day

No matter how hard she tries,
It never seems to be enough.
She can't keep holding on,
Pretending she's so tough.

Maybe, one day,
She can run away,
To someone that loves her just the way she is.

Someone that will look past her scars.
Forgive her for the mistakes that,
Screwed up her life.

They will notice that she has changed,
Just know that she has looked past her childhood pain.
She just wants to be,
Forgiven, renewed, and loved.

She'd just young,
And of course she will make mistakes,
But they will only make her stronger.

She will grow up to see that
Those who didn't care,
Will never be worth all her tears.
And those who do care,
Will always be there looking over her.

Everything changes, but her journey isn't over.
There is a meaning to everything.
Everything in life is a surprise.
