Maybe I Can Find You Poem by Matt Render

Maybe I Can Find You

It's been raining all night
And I drank too much to drive
I'm in a sea of red brake lights
And bright neon bar signs
Icy rain and police sirens
Over the windshield of my mind

And the flashes of lightning
are here to remind me
That the world's still alive
And further down
this darkened road
Maybe I can find you
And ask If you have heard
The thunder in these words.
