Maybe Poem by Ann Thrope

Maybe

Rating: 5.0

I wish this could end,
faking my way through life
pretending to be something I could never be.
Maybe it’s my imagination,
but I think I’m slipping away
farther and faster
with nothing to hold on to.
There’s no one to grab me
no one to stop this free fall
and maybe I’ll accept this some other day
but today I hate it.
and I hate you.
I hate you because you can’t be who I want you to be
because I can’t be who I want to be.
Maybe it’s my fault,
Maybe it’s not.
who could honestly tell these days.
but now I am falling,
and I am asking for help,
the only question is
will you help me.

Ann.... This one is tragic but you have been successful here with your words to express exactly the way you feel. From your other creations, this one is better - I feel. Full marks.
