May Heaven Poem by Marco Bo

May Heaven

May heaven
it is spring outside and yet
rain is falling
rain that seems a wail
the city and the countryside are waiting in silence,
the storm will not last forever

May heaven
all is quiet
yet my heart is in pain
and then I grab your hand, the most beautiful gift,
and I am not afraid
with you by my side
under this wandering storm

May heaven
it is spring outside and yet
rain is falling
rain that seems a wail
the city and the countryside are waiting in silence,
for the storm to go away adagio
adagio

May heaven
it is spring outside and yet
I struggle
but with you by my side
I know
I’ll go far
far away
and so be it
under this grey suburban sky
