Masquerade
Unfettered from loves chains
Cast off as the nights dirty clothing
Left there laying a heap
Quickly sprucing up without conviction
Lurching back into the jungle of dating
Wary yet showing no concern
Out of normal control
Just another quick fix
Just to relieve the ache that lays
Deep in the pit of a drained heart
A masquerade for others to see
Masking the heart
