Martian Prognosticator

Rating: 5.0

Martian gravity
is.38 that of Earth's.

With dimensions
only 26x21x18 ks and 15x12x10 ks,
and distances from Mars
only 9,400 ks and 23,500 ks,
the irregular moons of Mars
will be plundered for resource
well before Mars itself is.

Phobos and Deimos
will be noticeably diminished
or extinguished.

Romantics -
it's time for stickers on cars:

SAVE THE MOONS

NO IRREGULARS PLUNDERING

NO MINING THE MOONS OF MARS

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
If viewed from Mars's surface near its equator, full Phobos looks about one-third as big as a full moon on Earth. It has an angular diameter of between 8' (rising) and 12' (overhead) .
Deimos looks more like a bright star or planet for an observer on Mars, only slightly bigger than Venus looks from Earth.
Total lunar eclipses of Phobos are very common, happening almost every night.
