Mari Poem by Sylvia Frances Chan

Mari

Rating: 5.0

MARI

Mari Esfahani comes from Iran
She wants to be baptized in my church
I asked her why she wants to be baptized so eagerly
She and her family are moslems.

Mari replies since Jesus can do miracles and Mohammed not
She, her husaband and two kids are baptized in our church
Few years ago. Now her kids have become adults and have their own kids
Mari is grandmother now, her husband grandfather

The Dutch language is very difficult to learn,
especially when her mother tongue is pharsis.
Mari and I are always conversing in Dutch
She speaks Dutch like she is born here (in the Netherlands)

The Netherlands has given she and her husband
(included her kids) political asylum
I am very touched that she and her entire family have become Christians.
She loves reading,
especially the many many wonders Jesus did in the Holy Bible.

This is Mari who resides with her family in my hometown.
She loves the Netherlands
She loves Jesus.
She has grown in Jesus.
Amen

A beautiful story on life and faith crafted in a wonderful poem. I agree with LeeAnn, Jesus always works wonders that enable humanity to conquer hardships and darkness.

In my text there is the word 'husaband', it must be HUSBAND, thank you.
