March Of Time Poem by Aniruddha Pathak

March Of Time

Rating: 5.0

First to die, foremost of sacrifice,
Hyphen was hacked by youth cool as ice,
Commas cried and colons,
And we watched bent knee bones,
We still watch, periods whilst pay the price.
Wonder who'd them advise,
Not old age I surmise.
It's no use time has when cast its dice.

The full stop is on deathbed. The digital age is upon us. Today's youth is in hurry— often for no valid reasons though. Exclamation marks, ellipses, line breaks, and emoticons rule. In a hurry, and still the youth has enough time to indulge in narcissism, healthism, taking selfies and the like. Would English as we ‘oldies' know survive? They that were not allowed to make enough mistakes from which to learn have been spoiled enough. Let the youth do what old age could not. Time marches and we do not know to where.
