March Of Broken Hearts Poem by India Wallace

March Of Broken Hearts

Sharp tears cut my eyes
I cry black blood
I bleed mascara for you

Smiles all around suffocate me
Everythings too happy to be real
There're all fake and plastic

While i'm suffocating down here in the dirt
You don't even notice me
But everytime i look i see you
All i need is for you to understand

And just for today
I'll join the march of broken hearts
I'll show you how much pain you've caused me
Together, we'll wear all our fears on our sleeves
I wont wear a masquerade today
I'm putting my broken heart on display

I know i brought this upon myself
With all my pointless wishing for you to love me
For you too see me the way i see you
So i take responsiblitiy for what this life has become

But the sorrow still sinks into me
Follows me, darker than my shadow
I'm not sure how much more i can take
So i'll tell you this now, before it's too late

Just for today
I'll join the march of broken hearts
I'll show you how much pain you've caused me
Together, we'll wear all our fears on our sleeves
I wont wear a masquerade today
I'm putting my broken heart on display

I'm finally getting over you
