Malanni, Goddess Of Beauty Poem by Paul Sebastian

Malanni, Goddess Of Beauty

Rating: 4.5

Sitting beside my love, Malanni
In my heart’s secret garden
I paint beauty present before me
Pretending a smile, looking askance

Unabashedly asked, what beauty I saw
Breaking a dam of untold thoughts
Laden in heart’s treasure store
No jewels matched what my heart stored

You have Eden’s Eve’s perfect eyes
Symmetrical, wide white, dark pupils
Thick curled Barbie-doll eye lashes
Artist-shaped eyebrow looking unnatural

Piercing eyes break my defenses, melting me
Endearing look tongue-tie me: often lost for words
Your smiling eyes pound my heart in glee
Mesmerized, lost at times, I stand awkward

Your full lips ease a warm welcome
Love speaks in your ship-sinking smile
Embracing me to your warm bosom
Your soft lips kiss is taste of the sweetest wine

Curls of hair softly rest on your shoulders
Amazed how the wind flirts with your hair
Your locks clipped up, bearing your shoulders
Comforting fingers caress my hair as I rest there

Malanni, my love, you are my Mona Lisa
A thousand poems I’d write about you
Not enough of you, I need you more than ever
You watered our love, my love you grew!

Malanni, I love you now and forever!
