Madly In Love With A Monster Poem by lucinda nightsilver

Madly In Love With A Monster

brown eyes that if only glanced at appear black as a moonless winter night.
raven black hair long and flowing makes my heart shudder in delight!
physique as crimson as the flow of life
skin as tan as fresh earth
oh how my heart aches for you but also at the site of you sings!
as I look on at you just you I feel my heart will flutter and burst!
But then I am reminded of your cruelty and how my eyes dim and mist in sadness and pain the salty diamonds trail down alas all in vain.
i could not begin to understand myself.
why? how? how I ask can I feel such love and devotion to a demon who wrought death destruction in his time of reign?
a murderer, a tyrant, an impaler king!
why does the thought of you make my cheeks flush my lips curve and my heart sing?
Because it is not the blood and gore the horror of battle and the atrocities of war that my heart my mind my SOUL choses to remember to think on and again rethink.
it is instead the cold beautiful nights spent together intangled in your embrace.
it is us admiring the twinkling stars and the beauty of the moon
it is the side of you that no one else besides I myself had seen.
it wasn't the monstrous romanian king it was just you.
who is HE you ask?
he was mine the man behind the monster, the beauty within the beast.
my love my lord my monstrous impaling king!
