Lying Next To Her Poem by Landan Chandler

Lying Next To Her

While I am laying next to her,
In this bed of lust and sin,
She isn't the one i want in,

I look at her and guilt washes over me,
Though she says she loves me,
I don't feel the same,

Your love is all that has ever ment anything,
Though it seems that I was not worthy of it,
Though you had mine it seems it wasn't enough,

I sometimes see your face in my dreams,
I sometimes think you see mine,
For the thought of you still hasn't left my mind,

I wonder if you cry from time to time,
For the tears have been shed for you,
The saddness still isn't through,

I pray in vain,
To see your face and to hear your voice,
For one day for you to call and tell me the same,

That you miss me as much as i've missed you,
But each day the call never comes,

And the drugs I take are killing me,
They won't make your memory fade,
Nor will they take the pain,

And these blind fools who can't see me,
All tell me the same thing,
'Just get over her'

My response is simple is true,
'I don't want to get over her, I want her back',
Though my words are like trying to defy God himself,

I would give anything to for one day with you,
One day to stare into your beautifull eyes again,
And for you to whisper your sweet words in my ears

But still I lay next to her,
While she is laying still in sleep,
I think I'll leave her here and look toward a new day,
A new day and a new way to tell you the truth,
To tell you I still love you and i still miss you and i need you.
