Lunar Secrets Poem by Ramesh Iyengar

Lunar Secrets

Lunar Secrets

I share my secrets with the moon. (unknown to you) .
When it glows as a plate of silver,
high above, unseen by many (asleep) ,
we share secrets.
It glows making the sky,
a broad white A4 sheet, uninked, unstained, virgin-like.
Winking stars seen scattered,
what gleaming flow from heaven is this?
I watch this brilliant, radiant circle.
A very few care to look, admire its glistening charm.
A silent verse. Mute conversation.
Poetical radiance. Pure beauty.
Unseen to sleeping eyes below.
Yet, known to me. Theses lunar secrets.
