Lullaby Of A Tired Mother Poem by Glenn Bagshaw

Lullaby Of A Tired Mother

Rating: 5.0

Evening falls,
dawn shall break.
I'm to pieces
if you wake!

Night's so dark,
day's a dare;
lose them-
would you even care?

Night broods quiet,
day writes songs:
left or right
to wake is wrong...

I was a single mama for 18 years....exhaustion is a way of life...I learned to let a 10 minute power nap be 'enough'. This is lovely. Thanks for the recognition.
