Lullaby For Wolf Pups Poem by Roland Houston

Lullaby For Wolf Pups

Hush now my little pups,
close your weary eyes,
lay down your precious heads,
now is the time for rest,
I am right here with you,
I will let no harm befall you,
Papa is here, I will never forsake you,
you are my precious gifts,
my bundles of joy,
I will risk my life to protect yours,
hush my little pups,
do not make a sound,
daddy is here,
and I won't let you down.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Baisically, this poem is actually some wat of a lullaby that a father wolf would sing to his pups, to comfort them, and let them know he will let nothing bad happen to them. I was inspired to write this because of how much dedication a wolf will give to its puppies, a wolfs love and dedication to its young ones is third, next to that of primates and humans.
