Lullaby Poem by Martin Arriola

Lullaby

It touches almost ever so softly.
You know the voice but it can't be her.
The shadows hold still.
The voice is ever so soft almost like velvet.

Everything feels make believe.
After all the sorrow and tears.
I knew she couldn't forget me.
I hear the calling once more.

I finally see her.
I know this is no vivid dream.
She tells me good night and to be brave.
She gives me a kiss and vanishes.
