Lullaby Poem by zion anisius

Lullaby

Sing me a lullaby to fall asleep at night, a peaceful journey to the unheard silence.
Lullaby as calm as a hymn yet as loud as a thunder strike for my heart is not at rest tonight.

Sing me a lullaby of life, something as bitter as a melon yet as sweet as sugar.
Sing me a lullaby of love from a far away kingdom of magic and chaos with a prince charming and princess cheerful, a love story unlike mine, lonely and left behind.

Sing me a lullaby of time where the day never ends and time stands still for my destination is far out of my reach.
Sing me a lullaby of loneliness with music and in depth remoteness of my broken pieces.

Sing me a lullaby of withheld pain, under the sea of unsaid words and the ocean of never ending tears.
Sing me a lullaby of a story, a story that has no ending but war and demons of oneself.

Sing me a lullaby of a girl like me, lost in darkness for this mask is wearing me down,
A lullaby of love and life in my merely cascading world.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Of a soul that seeks for balm. Of a soul in Slough of Despond. Of a soul in despair. Soothing piece for a soul that hungers for sonority. This poem will lure anybody like a baby to a calm and peaceful sleep. Well sung and woven with beautiful imageries.
