Lu, Many A Time Poem by Joseph KaumphawiMasawanie, Jun.

Lu, Many A Time

Many a time
You have been the voice of reason
When mine had taken leave of absence
Or conspired with my feelings, plotting treason

Many a time
You have been the beacon of hope
When I, against hope, hoped not
And had mine hanging on a threaded rope

Many a time
You have carried the basket with all my eggs
When I didn't know what else to bet on
Or when my faith was standing on it last legs

Many a time
You have been the shoulder of consolation
When I had my butt handed to me
By life's hustle-bustles and benign frustrations

Lu, Many a time
You have been many many things
And I am grateful many many times
