I don’t know what exactly I feel,
Is it an obsession or love for real?
I am so lost with my feelings for you,
That I can’t remember anyone else I once knew.
Pleasing you takes up so much of time,
That, every other part of my life has lost its reason and rhyme.
I have all my happiness so wrapped around your,
That I forgive you each time you shove me to the floor.
I even shut my eyes when I see you with some other,
So my self respect doesn’t come between us being together.
People say I am nothing but a doormat,
But only if they could stand where I am at.
They would then finally see beyond the small bruises.
They would understand finally why my heart chooses,
To love you as much as I can,
And why I need you to always be my man.
