This one was for tryin'
This one was for dyin'
This one was for cyrin'
This one was for lyin'

If people could see my heart
They can see it's fallin' apart
For the things I did wrong
I'm surprised it took this long

I'm glad I have these love marks to share
It tells me to be a better man
And to have a new plan
And to be the best I can

The only way I get a mark
Is if i feel a spark
That I never felt
The one that'll make me melt

The impression you created
By doing something strange
Or makin' me change
Left me with a mark in exchange

If I had a mark for every girl
It would be two
One was a mistake
And the other was my future boo

She still makes me think
How cute she looks in pink
She was my shining star
The only one that made a scar
