Have you ever loved beyond life
Have you ever loved and lost
Wished you had them back
No matter how great the cost?

Have you ever felt the agony
The enduring unbearable pain
Longed to feel their arms
Wrapped around you again?

Have you ever cried hot tears
That burned down your cheeks
As you sat and wondered
What is it that love seeks?

Have you ever felt the burning
The incredible longing ache
And wanted to return to then
No matter what's at stake?

Are you stuck in the past
Where that love can be found
Crying softly to yourself
Your sobs the only sound?

If so then you've felt the burn
The bite of love's sweet sting
Yet there's no way to return to then
You can do nothing, not one thing

And feeling that burn know
That it's not something to regret
Love like that is something that
You'll only one time ever get
