Love's Strong Pull Poem by Doris Niswonger

Love's Strong Pull

Sleep my precious one
After the weary work of day.
Dream sweet dreams of fun
In paradise far away.

Rest your weary head,
Breathe alluring depths of slumber,
Sleep awhile upon your bed,
And leave your struggles in number.

I love you so, my heart is full
As I gaze upon your face.
I feel your love's strong pull
In this sacred, hallowed place.

But let your weary frame
Inhale the flow of peace divine,
For few hours will soon proclaim
The start of another incline.
