Love’s Misunderstanding Poem by karin collins

Love’s Misunderstanding

Rating: 4.5

All the things we’ll never do,
The places we won’t travel to,
The dreams we’ll never see come true,
The love that’s gone because of you.

You left me here and walked away,
It was time to have your say,
Oh how I wanted you to stay,
When you took your love that day.

You made it clear I’m not the one,
You want to kiss beneath the sun,
There’s something else so now you’re done,
You stopped the game, what have you won?

How can it be we grew apart?
We didn’t have what’s in your heart?
I wish I’d known right from the start,
But that’s the wheel before the cart.

My heart has never been untrue,
And I would still be here with you,
But there are things you have to do,
I guess you were just passing through.

Just know that I will always be,
As proud of you as I can be,
The good in you is all I see,
The man who once gave love to me.
