Love's Final Message Poem by Daniel Parker

Love's Final Message

So clean, untouched, so perfect, I take you by the hand,
Your beauty, captivation, set me free,
Thoughts race through my mind, of us, together, in the sand,
Your voice, so gentle, calms me, like the sea,

So gentle, like a newborn, your skin is soft to touch,
Your presence, makes my heart skip one long beat,
I feel the love flow through me, it warms me, heat as such,
I question how I did achieve this feat,

I long to ask a question, there's something I must know,
The only thing that plays so on my mind,
I wonder if you knew me, would you just leave, just go,
I guess the answer I am soon to find,

We live our life together, for you I would devote,
Everything I have, and that's no lie,
So as the tears run down your cheek, as you will read this note,
It's now that I must tell, I am to die.
