Love Poem Poem by Hunter James

Love Poem

If I had the right words
I would write you, indenting my love through verse
If I knew where to start
I would paint you, ink caressed features In pastels.
If only I had the words to win your heart
Or the key to what teared us apart
If it was as easy as singing you a love song
To grasp your heart, I'd sing them all.
If there was something I could say to change your mind
I'd splutter for an hour envelop you in rhyme.
Though its not what this girl wants
It doesn’t matter how you rhyme or paint or sing,
Nor it matters how strong you look or how fast you swim.
Its your true nature she really longs
Your ability to laugh at your worse
And smile when she's wrong.
Its not in the way you walk around
Nor she cares how your voice sounds.
Its you’re ability to love and still be you.
The look in your eye
She can tell if its true.
Though I'm not content loving you out the corner of my eye
I feel so much
Yet touch so little.
If only I knew the key to your heart,
Maybe it is good looks
Maybe it is how smart.
