Love Lost Poem by Justin Smith

Love Lost

Rating: 3.8

Love lost
Tried at all costs
Lost one self
Lost all wealth
Lost my wife the ex love of my life
Lost my career
Lost felt way to severe
Lost my way
Lost the right to say, what a good day
Lost friends
Lost never ends
Lost family
Lost sanity
Lost trust
Lost must have been lust
Lost inside
Lost outside
Lost my soul
Lost control
Lost sleep
Lost the ability to weep
Lost drive
Lost the will to be alive
Lost the urge to be lost
Now finding a new
Now learning the new you
Now learning the new you can do all the things you used to
Now is the past
Love never lasts
If you believe it does you'll forever be
Lost

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I was married for 2 years and cheated on my wife with a girl I fell in love with, but came to realize she didn't love me like she said. I saw my feelings of love were just lust. I lost the life that I had and i started all over from scratch.
